China's maker scene runs on small studios: a woodworking shop in Shenzhen, a 3D-printing studio a few streets away, a desk-gear brand in Zhejiang. Most of what they make never gets a proper English page. We find the pieces that are genuinely useful and well made, film them on a real desk, tell you what we don't like, and only then open a waitlist.
